NOAA Studio Presents April 8 Solar Eclipse

As the celestial bodies align for a rare and mesmerizing event on April 8, ISS is excited to be a part of the NOAA studio efforts to livestream the solar eclipse. Get ready to witness the cosmos in action as we bring you live coverage of this awe-inspiring phenomenon. Our dedicated team member, Reese Bland—NOAA NOS Studio Videographer, is embarking on an exhilarating journey to Dallas, Texas, where he will be working alongside the NESDIS crew and local production teams to acquire exclusive feeds of the eclipse.  Leveraging advanced broadcasting technology, they will transmit these feeds back to the studio in Silver Spring, Maryland. Meanwhile, in Silver Spring, a dedicated team led by ISS’ Rob Levy—NOAA NOS Supervisory Studio Project Manager—will orchestrate the dissemination of these feeds to multiple platforms, including NESDIS’ YouTube channel and various broadcast entities.

The live event will be held in Dallas, Texas at the Fair Park Cotton Bowl® Stadium on April 8th; more NOAA eclipse event information and celebration locations across the country can be found here on the NOAA website

The path of the eclipse will cross Dallas, Little Rock, Indianapolis, Columbus, Cleveland, Erie, Buffalo and Burlington. Whether you’re in the path of totality or observing from afar, it is sure to be a memorable event!
